Do you wonder what causes Stomach Bloating? Did you know that what causes Stomach Bloating is typically gas buildup in your intestines? If you have ever experienced bloating, then you know it can be uncomfortable and sometimes embarrassing. But what causes stomach bloating can come from a variety of things that people may generally be aware of but have not quite made the connections. For example, did you know that what causes stomach bloating can be connected to :

  • Stress
  • Smoking
  • Anxiety
  • IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome)
  • A Digestive Condition
    • Lactose, Fructose or Gluten Intolerance for example
    • An infection or gastrointestinal blockage
    • Certain carbohydrates and foods high in fiber.
      • Veggies like Brussels Sprouts, Broccoli, Cabbage, Lentils, Cauliflower and other Beans
      • Fruits like Apples and Bananas
      • Junk Items such as chewing gum and carbonated drinks
      • Fatty foods

A lot of people are involved with more than one culprit of bloating. No wonder it is so difficult to get rid of stomach bloating. Breaking one habit is hard enough, but to find out that more than one thing may be contributing to a bloating issue is madness. However nothing is impossible, and by knowing what causes stomach bloating, you are actually starting to fix the uncomfortable bloating issue. Fact is that a human being is supposed to pass gas or break wind; however you are comfortable saying it, around 12 times per day.  By belching or breaking wind you are getting rid of some of the air that is causing your discomfort.

While it is very unlikely to completely stop occasional bloating, knowing some of what affects you can ease the likelihood of you dealing with it at an inopportune time. A black tie dinner, family outing, or work environment is generally not the time you want to deal with being bloated even though they all may give you stress, which can make you bloated. Consider building a pile. The larger the pile, the more daunting it is. If you are building this pile with things that cause you to bloat, you are increasing the likelihood that you will have to deal with a tremendous amount of discomfort or even pain. It is much easier to handle a little bloating that a nearly crippling amount of it.

Never be afraid to go to your health care provider, especially if you suspect that you have a food issue, such as gluten intolerance. The reason being that you cannot avoid what you do not know can harm you. While gluten or lactose intolerance may not always be severe, the discomfort eating something you cannot digest properly can be. So being informed is never a bad idea. You need to know how to take care of yourself properly, because who is more important than you? Your doctor should agree and you will be more able to keep an instance where you get bloated to a slightly uncomfortable degree rather than a completely discomforting experience. Besides, your body will always give you points for trying.
